2001 – The official enrollment ceremony was held inside the ShaoLin Temple and witnessed by other ShaoLin monks, both of senior and junior ranks. The official ShaoLin monk’s name Shi DeLon was given to Mr. Leung YK by the late Abbot Shi SuXie. The official identity of “DE” marked his status as 31st generation of ShaoLin monk and endorsed by the I.D. passbook issued only by the provincial Hennan Buddhist authority. This central governmental organization monitors and controls all Buddhist temples within the Hennan province.
